Yes, for most dogs. Antlers are extremely durable and last weeks or months for moderate chewers. For aggressive chewers or dogs with weak teeth, opt for split antlers (softer, exposes the marrow) instead of whole.

Yes. Elk shed their antlers naturally every spring — no animals are harmed. We hand-collect and sort each antler, choosing only Grade-A pieces with solid density.
-
For most dogs, weeks to months. Antlers are by far the longest-lasting chew we offer — they slowly grind down rather than breaking apart, giving your dog hours of chew time spread across many sessions.
-
Whole antlers are dense and can chip teeth in heavy chewers. If your dog cracks bones or destroys yak chews quickly, choose a split antler — the softer marrow center is easier on teeth and adds a stronger flavor.
-
Match the antler to your dog's size: small for dogs under 25 lbs, medium for 25-60 lbs, large for 60+ lbs. Always pick a piece big enough that your dog can't swallow it whole.

We recommend waiting until your puppy has all adult teeth (around 6 months) and start with a split antler — they're gentler on developing jaws than whole antlers.
